INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE
My dear friends,
I am proud to announce that our campaign for “All the Violence In the World” in support of Ukrainian relief with Music Saves UA has generated the amount of $5,000 which has been wired to our brothers and sisters from the organization. I couldn’t think of a more significant occasion to share that news with you than today, the International Day of Peace.
I want to thank you all for your generous donations, your active support and your dedicated actions throughout the whole duration of our “Let’s Make a Difference” initiative. Even though there’s still a lot to be done in order to see humanity triumph over despotism and terror, I believe there’s no loving, compassionate and benevolent gesture that is too small to make a real difference in someone’s life, in a community, in a country, in the world…
It’s also important for me to mention, having precious Russian friends who are not only opposed to that barbaric invasion but who are as deeply disgusted by the tyranny they have to compose with within their own frontiers, that we need to remember that all the atrocities we’ve been witnessing for several months now are the design of their nation’s leaders, and therefore, before accusing, judging, and ostracizing innocent people who have been kept hostages of those horrific and hideous crimes just as much as the rest of the planet, we need to see them all as one of the too many forms of victims of such inhuman, cruel and hateful aberrations, which leaves people mercilessly marked forever.
Let’s keep on turning compassion into action, feeding our new morning hopes with the faith that one day we’ll see a universal bright light arise in celebration of the establishment of a world defined by human rights, justice, and equality for all… It might not be today nor tomorrow, but we need to press on until that morning comes.
