L’artiste post-rock canadien Alex Henry Foster a publi\u00e9 une vid\u00e9o d’un morceau in\u00e9dit, The Son Of Hannah<\/em>. La nouvelle chanson est tir\u00e9e du prochain album live de Foster, Standing Under Bright Lights<\/em>. Jusqu’\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, The Son Of Hannah<\/em> n’a \u00e9t\u00e9 entendu que par les fans qui ont assist\u00e9 \u00e0 ce concert \u00e9pique qui a pouss\u00e9 Alex \u00e0 se lancer dans une tourn\u00e9e partout dans le monde avec son album. The Son of Hannah a \u00e9t\u00e9 produit avec Ben Lemelin, partenaire cr\u00e9atif de longue date de Foster et coproducteur de l\u2019album Windows in the Sky.<\/p>

\u201cThe Son Of Hannah<\/em> est autant une m\u00e9taphore cathartique de la nature tourment\u00e9e et afflig\u00e9e de mon p\u00e8re qu’un vibrant hommage \u00e0 un homme qui a consacr\u00e9 sa vie \u00e0 s’\u00e9manciper de ses d\u00e9mons int\u00e9rieurs, \u00e0 trouver un repos int\u00e9rieur \u00e9ternel, \u00e0 faire la paix avec son pass\u00e9 et ses d\u00e9fauts tout en embrassant une d\u00e9faite in\u00e9vitable face \u00e0 l’essence implacable du cancer,\u201d explique Foster.<\/p>

\u201cC\u2019est une r\u00e9flexion intime sur les luttes personnelles pour garder la foi vivante dans les moments de grand d\u00e9sespoir, une reconnaissance de notre besoin le plus profond dans les moments de d\u00e9sespoir. Mais surtout, c\u2019est le t\u00e9moignage poignant de la r\u00e9demption d\u2019un homme qui a conduit au pardon de son fils et qui l\u2019a incit\u00e9 \u00e0 trouver sa propre mani\u00e8re d\u2019\u00eatre libre, quoi que cela puisse signifier.\u201d<\/p>

Standing Under Bright Lights<\/em> devait initialement sortir en octobre de l’ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, ce qui aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 la date d\u2019anniversaire de son d\u00e9funt p\u00e8re \u00e0 qui le concert \u00e9tait un hommage. Foster a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d’utiliser le temps suppl\u00e9mentaire que la pand\u00e9mie mondiale lui donnait pour produire l’album. Il a \u00e9galement d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de travailler sur le film du concert et sur un livre \u00e0 venir intitul\u00e9 If Only the Voices In My Head Couldn\u2019t Lie<\/em>, qui sortira plus tard au printemps 2021.<\/p>
