Mais alors, quelle odyss\u00e9e ! Quelle ode \u00e0 la libert\u00e9 que cette musique, lib\u00e9r\u00e9e des carcans de toutes sortes, qui respire, plane avant de retomber brutalement \u00e0 terre. Les grands moyens sont de mise, un groupe \u00e9largi o\u00f9 parfois cohabite la bagatelle de deux batteries et trois guitares. Le tout dans le but de cr\u00e9er cet espace de libert\u00e9 o\u00f9 les guitares (l\u2019ensemble du groupe joue sur des Jazzmaster) alanguies, parfois jou\u00e9es au bottleneck ou \u00e0 l\u2019archet (comme The Creation dans les ann\u00e9es 1960) volent, lib\u00e9r\u00e9es des contingences terrestres, avant de sonner la charge dans une brutale d\u00e9charge \u00e9lectrique, un rappel bien orchestr\u00e9 par une rythmique de plomb due au martellement conjugu\u00e9 des deux batteries. Signe de la conception tr\u00e8s libre de la musique d\u2019Alex, ce dernier joue d\u2019un instrument abscons, une mani\u00e8re de guitare miniature pour enfant \u00e0 quatre cordes (mais qui n\u2019est pas une basse) jou\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019archet. Plac\u00e9e dans le fond, la clarinette apporte une touche orientalisante \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble et rappelle que l\u2019artiste aime laisser filer le temps \u00e0 Tanger, \u00e0 l\u2019extr\u00eame pointe du Maroc. Enfin, toute la sophistication de fa\u00e7ade ne saurait cacher la profonde humanit\u00e9, qui anime tant sa musique, que le chanteur lui-m\u00eame qui aime \u00e0 montrer, de fa\u00e7on tr\u00e8s tactile, son attachement aux musiciens de son groupe comme aux spectateurs apr\u00e8s la fin du set.
