E l\u2019avremmo anche fatto, ma ingolositi dal rivedere il live il giorno successivo, dopo le ottime sensazioni della sera prima, siamo finiti il 4 agosto al Supersonic alla Bastiglia \u2013 la sala piccola, non quella principale occupata per lavori \u2013 e boom, tutto si \u00e8 amplificato, perch\u00e9 davanti a una platea ridotta (l\u2019ingresso era gratuito, ma la capienza di poche decine di persone) la potenza emotiva del live di Alex Henry Foster &#038; The Long Shadows ha reso l\u2019evento una sorta di cerimoniale intimo, raccolto, con una parte della band sul palco (3 elementi) e una parte (gli altri 3, Foster compreso) a suonare in mezzo al pubblico causa spazi ridotti. Una situazione\u2026 alla buona \u2013 verrebbe da dire \u2013 ma solo all\u2019apparenza.<br><br>\n\nQuello che Alex Henry Foster ha portato in Europa questa estate \u2013 peccato che in Italia non sia transitato \u2013 \u00e8 stato uno spettacolo potentissimo, originale, toccante, fatto di esplosioni rumorose, di jazz mischiato al rock, alla sperimentazione. In entrambe le date parigine la scaletta \u00e8 stata pressappoco la stessa, con pezzi come \u201cThe Son of Hannah\u201d, \u201cThe Pain That Bonds (The Beginning Is the End)\u201d e \u201cThe Hunter (By the Seaside Window)\u201d a dare la cifra stilistica (anche dal vivo) dell\u2019arte che Foster ha deciso di portare avanti in versione solista negli ultimi anni.<br><br>\n\nLive le sue canzoni si dilatano e si arricchiscono di suoni e melodie che rendono il tutto persino diverso rispetto alle versioni su disco. E se con \u201cShadows of our Evening Tides\u201d, la sera prima AHF aveva chiuso alla grande il bel concerto a Belleville, con la stessa canzone 24h dopo \u00e8 riuscito a emozionare, con l\u2019artista a girare in mezzo alla sala microfono in mano per abbracciare e salutare quella manciata di pubblico dalle facce familiari, sulle note di un brano che inneggia all\u2019amore come
