Off to the Sea

Shortly after his Rockpalast appearance at the Freak Valley Festival, Alex Henry Foster shows an atmospheric music video for the already released song “A Vessel Astray”.
Alex Henry Foster’s new album “Kimiyo” was released on April 26th. It is the first in his project series “Voyage À La Mer”, which is based on a formative trip Foster made in Japan in 2010. Today, Foster is releasing the video for the song “A Vessel Astray”, which appears on “Kimiyo”, and which is an excerpt from his self-produced film, set to premiere in the fall.

According to Foster, the video is “inspired by the spiritual idea of soul cleansing that is inherent in Japanese culture”. The song is also said to be about “the feeling of acceptance that is defined by honesty and admission”. For this single, Foster also received support from Montreal-based Japanese artist Momoka Tobari, who also played a key role in the design of the album.
Just on Friday, after his comeback show at the Orange Blossom Special, Foster played another enthusiastic show with plenty of fan contact at the Freak Valley Festival. The concert was broadcast live by Rockpalast. The 70-minute show with three unreleased songs and two of his usual fan favorites can also be viewed afterwards.
In July, Foster will play a few more concerts and festival appearances in Germany. Tickets are available at all known ticket outlets.
