Springtime

“Springtime” is an allegory to the existential rebirth and transformative enlightenment I found in the city of Tangier, a unique and dazzling place, where time is suspended and its implacable grip doesn’t have any authority on dreams designed to be seen into the lights, where life is a perpetual invitation to self-reclamation, re-appropriation of joy, and personal reinvention.

I wanted the song’s music video to be a sort of short film homage to the diverse human mosaic composing the city and the intangible flow constituting its collective energy. It also honors the late artist Najoua El Hitmi, who perfectly represents the rich, vibrant, and resilient heartbeat Tangier has always been, a lighthouse that keeps inviting whoever is disposed and willing to evolve through its singular revivifying rhythm, when love has given what time has been taking away.
