Montreal Concert – Postponed

My dear brothers, sisters, friends, and loved ones,

This is the type of message I always rebuke the most, the one bearing unfortunate news… And this one couldn’t be heavier for me to share, as, like the expression rightfully says, it truly hits home.

I’ll spare you all the details, as well as the profound disappointment and deep frustration associated with it, but due to several technical issues that were completely out of my control (even though I went above and beyond to find solutions and other alternatives to resolve them), I had no other choice but to take the painful decision to cancel my long and awaited return to Montreal, scheduled for November 19.

I waited as long as possible before doing so, hoping the matters in question would finally be settled, and especially knowing that so many people were on the verge of booking plane tickets and hotel rooms and engaging in many plans to join us for that special communal moment. But once it appeared clear that the numerous instances involved in the realization of this unique event wouldn’t be able to assure me the problems would be solved in time, I had to make the hard call, which greatly pained me considering we were all so excited about it, with the sweet additional element that the concert had been programmed on my birthday…

As you know me, I’m not only looking to reschedule the canceled concert already, but I’m musing on the idea of expending it into a sort of special weekend instead, something that would be even more aligned with our singular relationship and our common community values. I’m envisioning a singular gathering rather than a one-off event taking place between 2 different tours… I like the prospect of a distinctive get together.

That being said, it will require a little more patience on everyone’s part as my schedule leads me up to the spring of 2027… And if the prospect of Montreal in May enthuses me, my ever-challenging health compels me to live the present moment while optimistically designing what I want to experience in the near future. So let’s make it happen, as we are.

Again, I’m really sorry for those who had made plans to join me on November 19. Cancellation is never an option until it sadly needs to be done… So I’ll keep you updated about my reschedule ideas very soon.

Your friend and brother,
Alex
