When I first started my musical journey as the frontman and singer of the band Your Favorite Enemies, back in 2006, a very strong bond with Japan developed quickly. I was invited by some fans to visit Japan in 2007 (before we even played there), and I knew a love story had started. For the first time ever in my life, in this land so far away from me, I felt like I belonged somewhere.
January 11th is the day of “Kagami-biraki”, on which the lid of a sake barrel is opened. The event is held in prayer for good health, well-being, and dreams fulfilled.
It is a wonderful honor to introduce you to the Fisherman Sokujo sake with a limited-edition label, a special collaboration between the sake masters at Shiokawa brewery, brush artist Yuki Takei, and me.
