The Studio Diary - THANK YOU ALL!!!

My dear brothers, sisters, friends, art form accomplices, and loved ones,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your numerous comments and countless messages regarding my daily Studio Diary. It’s always deeply heart-warming for me to read you all and to know that you appreciate being involved in my current album production. And knowing that visiting my website has not only become a recurrent gesture, but an intrinsic part of your daily life has truly been an inspiration for me to keep on writing every morning. That being said, what remains an indescribable blessing for me is to read your messages telling me how much encouragement and comfort you find in my different posts. That means the world to me, really!!!

Although I initially wanted to take a writing pause until Mikko’s return for a second stretch to resume the album production, I decided otherwise and elected to post at least once a day until we get back to the studio full-time, as it’s important for me to write to you every day. It’s exactly what it is for me; writing you letters from my inner world. It’s also an amazing opportunity for me to chronicle one of the most significant seasons of my life, as it goes way beyond the album production process. It’s all about life, mine, of course, but correspondingly of those who have such an essential and intricate part in my present voyage. From my vision of art, music, literature, and creation… to my struggles with my mental and physical health, up to my thoughts, my stress and anxiety, etc. It’s alive because I decided to be. Some days are clearly better than others, but overall, I feel like I’m slowly learning to embrace what it means to “be”, however weird and strange it might be sometimes.

Note: To my absolute surprise, the band, along with Stephanie, prepared a special dinner for me. It consisted of fresh Edamame, “Kenchinjiru” soup, and a cheesecake dessert – which everyone was HIGHLY enthusiastic to eat entirely since I’m avoiding sugar – homemade matcha cookies and Gyokuro tea. All of this to celebrate my 100th studio diary post… WHAT?!? I never saw that coming. Another blessed moment!
